Check out FREE workshops and speakers throughout EnviroFest in our new activity tents:

  • The Green Bee Tent: in addition to selling some super neat wares, The Green Bee will be hosting sustainable crafts and activities throughout the event!
  • The Workshop Tent: the Elkhart Environmental Center will be offering free workshops including building: an oriole feeder (4 PM), bluebird boxes (5 PM), and bat houses (6 PM)!
  • The Speaker Tent: stop by for short talks about environmental and sustainability topics!
    • Plant Health Care (3:30 PM by Emma Conrad from Hartwood Tree Care)
    • History & Health of the Elkhart River (4 PM by Daragh Deegan from the City of Elkhart)
    • Electric Vehicles (4:30 PM by Jeff Zavatsky from the Elkhart Environmental Center)
    • Arboriculture/Working with Trees (6 PM by Nick Simons from Hartwood Tree Care)
    • “Ready, Set, Solar!” (6:30 PM by Brian Flory from Solar United Neighbors)
    • History & Health of the Elkhart River (7 PM by Daragh Deegan from the City of Elkhart)

A full schedule of the workshops and speakers will be available at the event. Space and materials are limited to a first-come, first-served basis. If you unable to attend one of the Elkhart Environmental Center workshops during the event, don’t worry! We host these workshops every year. Just check out our Facebook page or biannual program for dates and details.
